Just recently I purchased my own HD video camera-nothing special, but it gets the job done. Its a Sony HDR-XR500v. Now I can finally make shorts when I want to, and not when the school decides whether or not I can rent one of their crappy GL2′s. Anyway, prior to the huge snow storm we were hit by up here in the north east, I decided to test out the camera and film the snow. My mind set was to get the snow melting before it was all gone. Had I known that we were to be hit by another 4 feet of snow I wouldn’t have rushed and filmed such random shots. Anyway, hope you enjoy the short bits of imagery- I find it to be somewhat calming!

Side Note: I’ve tried over and over to embed the video in HD but WordPress will not let me…urg!! If you click on “Facebook” at the top of the video, it should direct you to the short. If not, oh well.

The following video features outtakes and bloopers from the Education Connection spoof. There really is no need to explain anything else prior to watching the video. Halie’s psychotic and it shows.

I’m not really sure why there are several shots of the camera zooming in and out on random objects, but I was dying when I found that footage, wondering what the hell I was thinking when shooting a can of beans, fiber, and eyebrow wax.

This video was my final project for my Video 2 class at AACC. I had storyboarded/outlined/prepared a crap load for a different project involving the Washington DC police, however because of the weather and lack of time. I plan on doing that project sometime in the near future. This particular project was thought up probably the day before the project was due…(oops).
My step dad plays the man…obviously he’s no academy award winner, but he was a big help regardless. My little brother is also featured. Hopefully you’ll understand the main idea of the short, it’s pretty literal.

This past Wednesday and Friday I went to Broadneck Senior High School to film the varsity football team. On Wednesday I filmed about an hour of practice and filmed the game on Friday. The game happend to be both the final game of the season, as well as the last home game of the year, therefore making the night “Senior Night.” Filming went well and I think the end product is a perfect representation of high school football and the spirit that comes along with it.

during summer break, i stayed with my godmother & her family for two weeks out in folsom, ca. i shot some footage on a horse rescue site. i was bored today, so i edited some of it together. enjoy!
